OPC - iQ is a fully automatic water softener with automatic control, Wi-Fi and customisable settings. It is designed for installation on the main water supply and ensures soft water throughout the home. It is the ideal choice for flats, holiday cottages, detached houses and small guesthouses.

Its compact design, with a top cover available in black or white, houses a new-generation control valve with a colour display – the Autotrol 255 Easy iQ. This clearly displays all important data and enables precise settings, intelligent regeneration and simple start-up via the Quick-start menu.

The unit is designed for maximum comfort and savings. Thanks to its smart technology, it boasts significantly lower salt and waste water consumption compared to standard water softeners. Furthermore, the ‘Holiday’ mode minimises unnecessary regeneration cycles during periods of inactivity, when the resin bed is fully regenerated. The integrated USB-C port facilitates software updates and the transfer of settings, whilst the built-in Wi-Fi module will enable remote control during future updates.

Safety is ensured by an anti-overflow float valve, a flow sensor to detect leaks – such as water leaks in the home – and an antibacterial mode for periods of prolonged inactivity.

Long service life and high-quality workmanship are ensured by the use of European components and premium Purolite filtration resin. The unit is manufactured in the EU.

Performance and recommended use:

*) Nominal flow rate at 0 mmol/l – flow rate with zero hardness carry-over in the effluent (calculated for an inlet water hardness of 3 mmol/l).

**) Maximum flow rate at 0.5–1 mmol/l – flow rate with hardness carry-over in the outlet water in the range of 0.5–1 mmol/l (calculated for an inlet water hardness of 3 mmol/l).The product is certified and intended for contact with drinking water.

• A pre-filter for mechanical impurities must be installed upstream of every water softener.
• A drain connection (up to a maximum height of 3 m) must be available near the filtration system, into which limescale (calcium and magnesium salts) and other impurities removed by the filtration process are discharged.

Programming the control unit

If you wish, we can programme the filter for you according to your water quality. To programme it correctly, we need the inlet water parameters from you – for mains water, this means the water hardness or its conductivity. If you do not know this information, please send us your address and we will determine the water quality in your mains supply ourselves. For a well, we need the hardness, iron and manganese levels (if your iron and manganese levels are above the limits).
