Industrial carbon filter OP Carbon with a filling capacity of 110, 160, 200, 270, 450 or 650 liters. Effectively removes chlorine, traces of heavy metals, undesirable odors and tastes from water.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

High-capacity carbon filters OP Carbon are automatic devices that efficiently remove chlorine, traces of heavy metals and organic substances, pesticides, as well as unwanted odors and tastes from the water.

The filling for these carbon filters uses granular activated carbon (GAC). In this case, it is AquaSorb 2000, which is manufactured through steam activation of coal. This type of carbon is designed for contact with water intended for drinking purposes. In addition to the filter filling, the filters include a gravel bed (the bottom layer of gravel is approximately 10-100 cm).

The operation of the filter is managed by the control unit Autotrol Magnum 742F. This unit also initiates backwashing, which is performed to remove accumulated mechanical particles and to restore the adsorption capacity of the filter filling. The control unit operates on the principle of time control, which can be set using a computer where the start time for backwashing, its duration, and the pause between individual washings (0.5 to 99 days) can be adjusted.

The various models of OP Carbon filters only differ in their dimensions, filter filling capacity, and maximum flow rates. The principle of operation is identical across all models.

We recommend installing a mechanical filter before the carbon filter, such as CINTROPUR NW 340, CINTROPUR NW 400, or CINTROPUR NW 500 (depending on flow).
